Since 1985 Dr. Nusbaum has specialized in hair transplantation, performing over 10,000 hair transplant procedures. He was originally trained as a dermatologist at Mt. Sinai Medical Center and has a strong foundation in dermatology. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. He is also an examiner for the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery.

He is well known for his warmth, attention to detail, and artistry. He and his clinic and the all micro procedure they perform are absolutely first rate by international standards.

Dr. Nusbaum’s very experienced staff prepare all the 1,2,3, and 4 follicular unit grafts using microscopes. They also use a massage technique in combination with the pain free “Wand” in administering anesthesia to make the procedure virtually pain free.

Dr. Nusbaum carefully creates all the incisions for the grafts using very small custom cut blades. These special instruments create tiny and minimally invasive incisions that enable very small grafts to be placed close together. This enables a patient to achieve cosmetic density in a given area after only one surgical session.

Due to the large amount of time and attention he and his staff devote to the patient, they often limit themselves to doing only one patient per day. In addition to doing excellent large all micro hair transplantation sessions, he also frequently repairs patients who have had outdated procedures performed.

Dr. Nusbaum performs all consultations and personally answers email inquiries. He has many patients from Latin America with whom he corresponds with in Spanish as he was originally from Cuba and is fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Nusbaum has been widely published in the fields of dermatology and hair transplantation and has been very active in research and professional societies where he has given numerous presentations.

Unlike many of the commercial hair transplant clinics that advertise aggressively in the media, Dr. Nusbaum does very little advertising. Instead he receives the majority of his patients as referrals from his many happy patients and from cosmetic surgeons who know the quality of his work.

Dr. Nusbaum is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the International Society of Hair Restoration and the American Hair Loss Council.

Dr. Nusbaum has served as Chief Resident of the Department of Dermatology of Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami and as Clinical Instructor of the University of Miami's School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery. His expert opinions on new hair transplantation techniques frequently appear in the medical literature.
